Good communication and collaborative working is essential for the safety and welfare of children and their families. UNOCINI One (Understanding the needs of children in Northern Ireland) is a 3 ¾ hour programme to support Registered Nurses, Midwives & Allied Health Professionals to know when and how to make an effective referral to Children’s Social Services. It includes interactive activities and a simple case study to practice making a preliminary referral using the tools and models introduced during the session. Safeguarding Children Level 1 is an essential requirement prior to attending.
