Epilepsy: An Introduction 

Epilepsy is a common neurological condition that affects approximately 20,000 people in Northern Ireland.  It can affect people of any age and for those who have a learning disability 1 in 5 will have epilepsy.

This programme will provide you with an awareness of what is meant by epilepsy, the different seizure classifications and how to support the person who is living with epilepsy.  The course is for all health and care staff that support or care for someone who has epilepsy which is designed to provide the participant with knowledge and skills to deliver safe, person-centred care.
