In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the CEC will be providing educational support for non-critical care nurses redeployed to critical care areas. The full day programme aims to provide nursing staff with essential knowledge in order to support understanding of critical care nursing and develop confidence in assisting with the care of critically ill patients.
Following the theoretical component the participant will be expected engage with an appropriate skilled practitioner in his/her clinical area to further develop a greater knowledge and understanding of this person-centred care activity; and complete an element of supervised practice.
