“Effective communication is central to the provision of safe and compassionate person-centred care.” (NMC 2018)
This one day programme offers participants an opportunity to reflect on the communication skills required to enhance the therapeutic relationship. We will consider how communication skills and appropriate strategies may be applied to communication issues that may be challenging for staff, such as; managing anger, difficult questions, breaking bad news and collusion. The programme also recognises the impact of such interactions on staff and the importance of self-care and care of colleagues will also be discussed.
This programme is suitable for Professionally Registered Healthcare Staff.
