Core Communication Skillls eLearning Programme

HSC CEC are delighted to launch a new Core Communication Skills eLearning programme. This self-paced practical eLearning module includes interactive exercises and practical scenarios to support your learning.  

By completing this module you should be better able to:

• Explain the importance of effective communication in health and social care
• Identify common barriers and enablers of effective communication
• Recognise key verbal and non-verbal skills for effective communication
• Describe active listening and questioning techniques for effective communication
• Explain how adjusting communication styles and methods can make communication more effective with diverse groups and multidisciplinary teams.

Suitable for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Staff, particularly those newly qualified or new to working in health or staff who wish to refresh and rejuvenate existing knowledge and skills
