Falls remain one of the most common patient safety incidents within the adult inpatient setting and can have significant physical, psychological and organisational consequences. Effective falls prevention requires a proactive approach that combines risk assessment, early intervention, ongoing review, robust reporting processes and a culture of continuous improvement.
This event brings together specialists in falls prevention, health and safety, and ward management to share learning that includes practical solutions for reducing falls-related harm.
Attendees will hear from a Falls Lead on the importance of falls prevention within the adult inpatient setting, gain a greater understanding of falls-related RIDDOR reporting requirements from the Health & Safety Lead, and learn from a ward team that has successfully implemented improvements based on learning that have focused on falls reduction.
Together, these sessions will demonstrate how moving from awareness to action can improve patient safety, enhance care quality and support better outcomes for adult inpatients.
