This 2-day Introduction to Cancer Care programme aims to provide staff, who may be working outside specialist cancer centres/units or those new to working in this speciality, with an overview of the needs of people affected by a cancer diagnosis.
Expert speakers support the delivery of sessions in this programme, providing a greater insight into specific roles, and the assessment and management of particular issues, such as the side effects of cancer treatments. Many participants have acknowledged the benefit of this in their evaluations, with feedback such as:
