All HSC and Public Safety (PS) authorities and anyone attending courses at the Centre are eligible to use the library. HSC staff can register in person or by completing an online application form: After signing up you will receive a username and password to access digital resources at The website can be accessed from any location and device.

Associate membership is available to those not otherwise eligible on payment of an annual subscription.

Digital resources

The Healthcare Library is designed specifically for HSC staff. It is a gateway to relevant resources on Nursing & Midwifery, Allied Health, Health Management, Medicine and all other areas of healthcare. The resources include databases, electronic journals, electronic books, clinical guidelines and quality internet sites. The customised search engine can be used to search multiple resources simultaneously including CINAHL, Medline, Cochrane, PEDro and Proquest Medical Library. All members of the library can take advantage of the free training and support provided by a team of specialist librarians: Group training sessions can be arranged in the workplace.
