Guidance Before Attending a CEC Facility/Programme

What to do in advance of attending a face-to-face education programme

  • If you feel unwell e.g. high temperature, cough, loss of smell/taste you should not attend a CEC programme

Entering a CEC building

  • Please bring your own face covering
  • Do not wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or uniform when attending a programme
  • Please adhere to all signage in CEC sites including social distancing advice and the use of one way systems
  • Wash your hands regularly when on site and before entering a classroom. Alcohol gel will be available

During the programme

  • It will be necessary for the programme facilitator and participants to wear PPE where close contact (i.e. less than 2 metres) is necessary during practical demonstrations. This PPE will be provided by CEC.
  • If the wearing of PPE affects your ability to undertake a CEC programme, please contact the CEC to discuss this further. Contact details are listed below.

After the programme

  • The programme evaluation and certificate of attendance will be sent to your registered email address (i.e. the email address you use to apply for CEC programmes).
  • CEC may be required to share your data for the purposes of the COVID-19 contact tracing scheme. CEC’s full Privacy Notice is available on the CEC website.
