Resilience and Mindfulness



To give participants an overview into the importance of achieving and maintaining resilience in their personal and professional lives and an awareness of the benefit of mindfulness.

Learning Outcomes

 At the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Define resilience and consider factors which influence this
  • Explore the reasons why we need to be resilient in today's healthcare environment
  • Discuss what policies/models/frameworks exist to support us
  • List the characteristics of a resilient leader and explain why these enhance team development and performance
  • Complete a self-assessment tool to measure your own resilience level and action planning to improve same
  • Participate in a short mindfulness session enabling you to live in the moment and recognise feelings of stress/anxiety


Registered Nurses working in any healthcare setting
