Frailty: Multi-Professional Awareness Programme

 

Purpose

To increase awareness of the role and responsibility of the healthcare professional in recognising the indicators of Frailty

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Define Frailty
  • Identify indicators that will ensure early recognition of Frailty.
  • Recognise Frailty Syndromes and initiate appropriate first line intervention strategies to manage these.
  • Identify the risk factors associated with Frailty and refer to appropriate services to ensure better health outcomes for people living with Frailty.

Audience

Multi-Professional.

Not suitable for Paediatric Nurses
