To provide Nursing Assistants with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond appropriately when a person presents with sepsis in the community

Learning Outcomes

  • Define the term ‘sepsis’
  • Identify the risk factors for sepsis
  • Explain the management of a person with suspected sepsis in the community
  • Discuss the effect of sepsis on the patient
