Provides physiotherapists working with a MSK caseload with the essential background in physiology and pathology for a haematological, biochemical and immunological approach to patient management.
To understand and interpret a wide variety of blood results with particular emphasis on musculoskeletal conditions.

- Full blood counts (FBC)
- low, normal, high Hb
- Thrombosis and haemorrhage
- Differential white count
- U&E’s for renal function
- LFT ’s for hepatic function
- Atherosclerosis, diabetes and lipids
- Clinical case studies
- Musculo-skeletal disorders and inflammatory response
- Calcium and bone
- Autoimmune disease
- Rheumatoid disease and osteoarthritis
- Practical aspects of interpreting results
