New to Forensics - Mentor Programme

 

Purpose

This will assist the Mentors to meet with the Mentees and help them with the new New to Forensics Resource

 

NB: Mentors should be suitably qualified and experienced professionals who have been approved by their Service and have completed the full New to Forensics course themselves

Learning Outcomes

This programme will enable the participants to consider:

  • The role of the Mentor
  • Direct roles and responsibilities
  • The support relationship
  • Practicalities of meetings and reflections
  • Introduction of the N2F mentor booklet
  • Application of the 'Ten Essential Shared Capabilities' framework, best practice for education and training of all staff who work in mental health services
  • Registering Mentees, 'sign off' certification, on-going support and reflection
  • Views from an expert in the field of Forensic support

Audience

Suitably qualified and experienced forensic practitioners who wish to mentor staff who New to Forensics through this programme
