Lone Working - Understanding and Reducing The Risks of Solitary Working



To increase awareness regarding personal safety and reduce risk for those who work alone in healthcare and other environments.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this ½ day session participants will:-

  • Understand the term lone working
  • Have discussed the potential risks of lone working
  • Have explored current risk reduction strategies and their implementation
  • Have identified areas for further development in relation to lone working

PLEASE NOTE this half day does not include practical demonstration of personal disengagement techniques.  Consider: MAPA 1 day - Personal Safety - Disengagement Skills on the CEC website for practical techniques if required. 


This ½ day programme is for registered nurses and health care assistants who work alone in healthcare and other settings.
