Waterbirth Workshop

 

Purpose

The aim of the workshop is to enable midwives to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in caring for women using water to labour and give birth.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the workshop midwives will be able to:

  • Use the best available evidence, risk assessment and risk management to underpin midwifery practice;
  • Use knowledge and skills to provide safe and sensitive midwifery care;
  • Appreciate the importance of audit and evaluation to develop best practice.

PLEASE NOTE THE NORMAL BIRTH WORKSHOP IS IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE WATERBIRTH WORKSHOP HOWEVER IT IS A SEPARATE SESSION SO YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR BOTH IF INTERESTED
