UNOCINI One – How To Make an Effective Assessment and Referral to Social Services
SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN LEVEL 1 IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT PRIOR TO ATTENDING THIS SESSION.
To provide participants with the underpinning policy direction and practice for implementing UNOCINI (Understanding the Needs of Children in N Ireland) Preliminary Assessment and making a good referral.
By the end of this session participants will demonstrate an understanding of:
Why and When to undertake a Preliminary Assessment
Professionals’ roles and responsibilities
Domains and Elements of the Framework
Threshold of Needs Model
The Principles of Consent and Information Sharing
How to make an appropriate referral
- The pre-birth risk assessment tool (2015)
Registered general nurses, midwives & allied health professionals
NHSCT Staff: Registered Nurses (Acute Services) working in a managerial or supervisory capacity, including all Emergency Department Nurses. Also for Registered Nurses (from Primary Care and Older People Services) working in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
