Purpose

To facilitate participants to acquire / develop the knowledge necessary to administer subcutaneous fluids

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the session participants will have:

  • Discussed the indications / contraindications of the use of subcutaneous fluids.
  • Discussed the advantages / disadvantages of the use of subcutaneous fluids.
  • Identified the most suitable sites for the infusion of subcutaneous fluids.
  • Examined issues of safe practice in relation to the infusion of subcutaneous fluids.
