Communication and Swallowing Management in Tracheotomised Adults
Provide an update of current Speech and Language Therapy management of adult tracheostomised patients and develop a support link to aid in the management of tracheostomy
Develop knowledge of the assessment and management of communication difficulties in tracheostomised patients
Develop knowledge of the assessment and management of swallowing difficulties in tracheostomised patients
Develop knowledge of weaning from tracheostomy
Develop knowledge to aid in clinical decision making in the use of tracheostomy speaking valves in communication/swallowing management, and in weaning
Develop trouble shooting skills to aid in the management of tracheostomy
Qualified Speech and Language Therapist working with the client group
One day course lecture based training
